Bagan, Burma (Myanmar), Dr. Maung Gyi came here after WW2 from this ancient, magical land with the mission from his legendary father, U Ba Than Gyi, to preserve and pass on the Burmese cultural treasures which they had preserved, which he has done faithfully and brilliantly since the Founding of the American Bando Association way back when.

The Ancient Temples of Bagan, Burma, the “Crown Jewel.”

Dr. Maung Gyi leading a seminar in Min Zin, Reiki and Spiritual Healing Arts at Sifu Mike’s old school shortly after 9/11/01. It was part of our Grand Opening in that facility (White Lotus Martial Arts Center, est. 1977) on Newington Rd. in Elmwood. Dr. Gyi graciously also led a Taoist Blessing Ceremony for Sifu Mike’s school (it had recently opened in a new location) which all partook in, it was a beautiful and special day.

“When I share the Min Zin concept with my students I share with them how to generate their internal energy. Every human has energy within themselves as well as the innate capability to use that energy to heal themselves. These practices were relinquished in ancient times and now I am trying to re-teach it in the modern world.” Grandmaster, Dr. Maung Gyi.

Students in rapt attention as Dr. Gyi shared his amazing knowledge and wisdom with us during his special Min Zin, Reiki and Spiritual Healing Arts Seminar shortly after 9/11/01 at Sifu Mike’s old school, White Lotus Martial Arts Center, est. 1977.
