"This book is about a rare style of the arts
I thought this was a well-written book. It has lots of detailed information that once upon a time wasn't freely open to the world. I enjoyed reading what I read. I'm still reading it. There is so much to reflect back on for me that I have to read it a bit at a time. I don't read very much but I'm still reading it. The Shaolin Butterfly style is indeed a true gem and we are very appreciative to have Sifu Michael Fuchs to teach this system to the world. From the mountains of Arizona much love and respect Brother , good job.”
—- SIFU LLOYD DAY, re: The Shaolin Butterfly Style- Art of Transformation.

When I was contacted by my old friend, Master Michael Fuchs, to consider writing a foreword to his new book “The Shaolin Butterfly Style – Art of Transformation” I must admit I was less than enthused. My first thought was yet another “me too” how to – Kung Fu book. Michael sent me the manuscript, and I picked it up and read it straight through – very unlike me – to find a book on the arts that would engage my attention so resolutely. Of course one of the elements that bore great historical significance was the role played by the great Grandmaster Daniel Pai, a man larger than life with whom I had spent some time, during the formation of the Chinese Kuoshu Worldwide Promotion Association in the late 1970s. GM Danny Pai was quite legitimate – he was the “real thing” – and was so dynamic you would instantly sense his abilities by just being in his presence. The book – “The Shaolin Butterfly Style – Art of Transformation” has been so well written by Michael that it becomes an instructional manual with the historical and philosophical significance required of true transformation work. At the same time, the book lays a framework for the physical development and technical description of both technique and application. Whether you are a novice in the Martial Arts or one with decades of training, you will most certainly gain knowledge and insight from experiencing

“The Shaolin Butterfly Style – Art of Transformation.” Grandmaster David M. Grago, from his Foreword to The Shaolin Butterfly Style- Art of Transformation.

"Michael’s “The Seven Jewels of Reiki" showcases his path to Reiki from initial skepticism to compassion and love of the art. You are led in a gentle way to follow his discovery and astonishment, with many anecdotes and stories, to relate to a rather simple and yet seemingly complicated topic. Michael does well to put the “I can’t tell you, but I can show you.”  in conversational-style book form. You may as well be sitting at a fireplace listening to him tell his story.  As you listen and gain more understanding of the art through the many comparisons, everyday ideas and situations, you gain a deeper understanding and are brought back to the true and pure elements, traditions and essence of reiki in modern day terms. Here you have a teacher who understands how easy learning can be if you keep a light and compassionate touch through a conversation, rather than lecture. In my own teachings, I have come to cherish the moment when students walk away thinking they had known most of what I taught them before, I know then that I succeeded in teaching them with ease, rather than being disappointed that I could not amaze them with my knowledge, which is now theirs."

Dr. Etha Berhmann. Excerpt from the foreword of The Seven Jewels of Reiki.

  • 5 Stars- “Excellent Overview”

  • “This book is like having a long chat with a good friend. Those there is much knowledge packed into this slender volume it only makes you hungry for more. I will definitely be reading everything Sifu Mike writes. He has a gift for writing that cannot be denied and manages to make understandable a subject so many have strugged to begin to explain.
I came to Reiki a complete sceptic. But I had a lot of pain from old martial arts injuries so I thought it couldn't hurt. One Reiki session and the pain was gone. Sifu Mike is a true disciple of this sacred art and makes it understandable for the every day person.
That is a true accomplishment.” Lynn Meadows, Author and Teacher of Tai Chi, Qigong and Meditation.

“I wish you much success with your first reiki book. It is a great read!” Rainbow Reiki Founder, Walter Luebeck.

‘For the uninitiated this work will open your eyes to the inner workings of a wonderfully powerful healing modality known as Reiki or Universal Energy Healing. Until recently, many of the finer points brought out in his book about this art were generally kept from the public. He goes a long way for the lay person to grasp why so many worldwide study, train and share this healing energy with all they meet. For the initiated you will see what you have also experienced through the human, down to earth eyes of Sifu Michael Fuchs. And you will smile.

As a fellow Reiki Master and a lifetime martial artist, I truly appreciate what he has done because of the similar quests that I and other long time martial artists have pursued. This will help many on this path.  I thank him for his hard work."

Foreword by Sifu Ray Abeyta from "The Compassionate Touch of Reiki: Healing Concepts, Elements, Methods

-5 Star Review -”BEST BOOK ON REIKI EVER”

-”I have read a number of books on Reiki. None were as detailed and specific as this one. This book demystifies Reiki and gives instruction one can follow easily.
This book is also easy to read and follow. There is no fluff. Just a simple telling by a jovial personality. Like a fireside chat with a dear friend.
This is a book you will return to again and again and always gain something from.”
