THE FOUNDER OF USUI REIKI RYOHO, “USUI’S REIKI HEALING ART,” O-SENSEI MIKAO USUI. O-Sensei was a great Saint from Japan who transitioned in 1926. He is rightly to be viewed as a Bodhisattva and Buddha of Healing, for he Founded a completely unique, new art of healing and bestowed it freely upon the world and all of humanity in order to bring harmony and balance to our sadly sick and twisted world and to help all people in need, as well as all beings. He completely devoted his life to it’s development and dissemination. After a lifetime of discipline culminating with a special 21 day fasting and purification ritual atop sacred Mt. Kurama-yama (Kurama-san) he attained a state of consciousness known as, “ANSHIN RITSUMEI,” the highest state of consciousness a human being may attain while in a mortal body. Many, many millions of people now have reaped the benefits of his extreme discipline, devotion, purity of heart and great compassion and wisdom- including so many “miracle healings” which defy current medical and scientific understanding. We bow and pray daily in reverence to you great teacher, may your Mission be accomplished and all beings find peace and joy.

O-Sensei Usui, this is a posed shot showing O-Sensei as a Buddha of Healing, the big belly in many Asian cultures is indicative of wisdom, power, and compassion…no doubt they put something in his robe as he is always shown in other photos to be slim and fit, which makes sense given he had achieved Menkyo Kaiden, Highest Level Teaching Certificate, in the famous Yagyu Ryu Sword and Jujitsu School before his enlightenment and Founding of his Reiki System.

Kurama-san is a very, very sacred spot in Japan which has been pivotal in Japanese history and where Reiki Founder Mikao Usui received his enlightenment (“Anshin Ritsumei”), the highest state of enlightenment possible for a human being to be able achieve while in their mortal body. It has been described as the ultimate state of immovable peace and bliss. O-Sensei received this divine state of consciousness- a Universal, Divine Attunement- at the end of a 21 day fasting and purification ritual after a lifetime of devotion and discipline. It was after this amazing experience that he began developing his Reiki System. The Universe/Divine Spirit/God chose him to open the path of reiki for all of humanity in this twisted and sick age we find ourselves in. May his art and mission help to bring Light, Harmony and Balance to us all. As the Indians say, “JAI GURU DEV!”
The Torii, or sacred gateway to a Shinto Shrine, one of many on sacred Mt. Kurama-yama. The Torii marks the boundary from the mundane to the sacred world.
Amaterasu O-Kami, a very important sacred Shinto Deity. In the Shinto Cosmology She is the offspring of the Founders of our Universe and Japan, She shines the pure dawn Light of Creation to uplift and enlighten all. Shin-to is a very, very pure and special spiritual path, the Kami being the divine ancestral spirits associated with Japan. My apologies to followers of this path as my understanding is only at a basic level. Much respect and reverence and thankfulness, domo arigatou gozaimasu.
